Hello everyone, first post.
by Frjprice inhello, i just wanted to introduce myself to everyone here - as i will be posting here.. i grew up a jw and pioneered, was a ministerial servant, ect, i was in the organization for 17 years.
i left and naturally my family did as they were told and cut off all communication with me.
this left a horrible taste in my mouth for not just jw's, but any religion for that matter.

What a difference a year makes.
by Billzfan23 inlast year on this date... i was burned out as an elder, school overseer, book study overseer, etc... my monday nights were shepherding calls, phone calls, judicial committe meetings.
tuesday nights i conducted the theocratic ministry school and usually had a service meeting part.
wednesday nights i had a bible study with a family from the territory.

Sounds fabulous! Wow all those "naughty" jw things: indulging your kids, making them feel important to you, relaxing with those you love, having a life already--hell, having a moment to yourself. . .how dare!!! I love it!

Today's my mom's 70th B Day, & I'm tempted, by the Devil no doubt. . .

that's a very big deal, and it will pass like nothing.
besides the fact that she and my dad are totally out of my life, it's pretty sad that such a momentous day should pass without celebration or reflection from friends and family!!.
